Description

The Communist Manifesto (Das Kommunistische Manifest) is a human achievement that needs no introduction. It was first published in German language in 1848 as Manifesto of the Communist Party. Since Europe was in the grip of unprecedented revolutions at that time, it was immediately translated into many European languages. Today, it exists in nearly all world languages and continues to stir the downtrodden of the Earth. This edition includes Marx and Engels s preface to the 1872 German edition and Engels s preface to the 1888 English version.

About the Author

Karl Marx (1818-1883) was a German philosopher, economist and sociologist. One of the most influential men in history, he was a true prophet of the proletariat who not only gave them the guiding philosophy for their struggle against the bourgeoisie but also worked hand in hand with them to realize their dream. His Das Capital has been the undercurrent of all revolutionary movements in modern times. Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) was another great German philosopher and social scientist. He was a close aide of Marx and co-authored Communist Manifesto with him. He also edited second and third volumes of Das Capital after Marx s death
